If you are in the market for a Camera Stabilizer, This could be the unit for you.
Overall, Who is this for?
If you are looking for a high quality/ well built Camera Stabilizer, This is for you.
If you are looking for a cheap Camera Stabilizer, This is for you.
If you are looking for an entry level Camera Stabilizer, This is for you.
If you have never owned a Camera Stabilizer, This is for you.
The Good:
- Made with Aluminum = Heavier than the IMORDEN S60C(carbon fiber). You want heavier. Won't blow around in wind as much.
- Build quality is amazing.
- Telescopic pole means you can use light or heavy camera's. (approx 2~6lbs)
- Quick Release plate makes it super easy to go from IMORDEN S60A to A tripod and back. The quick release plate is compatible with 501 Manfrotto too!!
Needs Improving:
- Moving the top plate, while balancing, can take time. Be patient. You will get it. Fine tune screw knobs for micro adjustments would be helpful.
- Gimbal is a bit stiff, but I can still get great smooth shots. Test footage in youtube video, link at end of review.
Definitely takes some time to get used to. For the price, this is hard to beat. When balancing, do it over a pillow in case the camera comes sliding off the top plate.
Contents:
Assembled Steadicam, 6 Weights(2 large, 4 small), messenger bag, quick release plate and a cleaning cloth.
