IMORDEN S-60C Handheld Stabilizer for Wedding Videos vs Glidecam

Camera stabilizers can be extremely overpriced while not really providing the users much. The Imorden S-60C is the complete opposite of this. For the price, you cannot beat this package. Through my work as a photographer/videographer, I've had the opportunity to use various glidecams, steadycams, and electronic gimbals but the package that is offered with this product is truly unbeatable for the price.

There are three things that influence my buying decision when it comes to handheld stabilizers and they are size/weight, ease of balancing, and of course the smoothness of the gimbal itself. In terms of size, The S-60C is tiny compared to some of the other stabilizers. At a minimum, it's only 14.6 inches! I'm able to stow it in my backpack or carry-on and pull it out whenever it is needed. It also does not weigh very much so I can handhold for quite a long time without getting fatigued.

When it comes to balancing, I don't think I've been able to balance any other stabilizers as fast as this one. The nice thing about the S60-C for me is that there is only two axis that needs to be adjusted. I only use one camera set up with the product so I never have to worry about adjusting the length of the shaft or the amount of counterweights to use. They are always the same so I only have to worry about the left/right and forward/backward axis. Really, left/right is always locked in at the same place so you only have to worry about forward/backward after putting the camera plate in. This means that within seconds of pulling the S60-C out of my bag, I can get it balanced and ready to go. The nice thing about the top plate is that there is actually a distance scale so fine tuning the balance is quite easy. You just have to remember where your camera balances and you are good to go.

The most important aspect of any stabilizer is of course the gimbal itself and the one on the S60-C simply does the job. It's hard to really rate this category since it's sort of just does it work or not? The gimbal on the S60-C just works. It's smooth and adds no resistance to the movements just like you would want. The amount of travel that you get on all axis is enough to counteract any movements that you make so this is very nice.

I love my S60-C and actually shot a wedding with nothing but the S60-C itself. Let's just say that that takes some confidence since there is really only one chance at getting the shots in a wedding. I would highly reccomend this product to anyone in the market for a handheld stabilizer that doesn't break the bank.

Imorden 11" Magic Arm (camera attachment) - Is it worth the money?

This arm is well worth the money. I personally use this arm to attach my tablet to my camera, to get a live view of what the camera is seeing. This helps me make sure I am getting everything in frame.

This arm can also be used for many other things. I tested out a microphone and a second camera. Using the microphone on the arm is useful when you need to move the camera just a bit further away but still need good audio quality. The closer the microphone the better. Using a second camera was a really neat idea that I came up with. This allows you to get two angles of the same shot, which can be awesome depending on the type of filming you are doing.

To sum it up, when I first saw this item, I didn't think it was something that I actually needed. After using it, I couldn't imagine not having it in my accessory bag. A+

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK BY FAR!

Before purchasing the IMORDEN S-60C, I have been doing weeks of research on which steadicam/glidecam to purchase. As a beginner in videography/cinematography, this is always a scary decision to make since you don't really know what you're getting yourself into.

I ended up going with the S-60C based on its price and reviews. I was still a little nervous about my purchase not being sure if it was going to be all it was hyped up to be, but I stuck with it and waited for the product before I made any opinions.

I then received my package from IMORDEN a day later, and I have to say that I was VERY impressed with how well everything was packaged in the box. I grabbed my camera and went to work with assembly.

Before receiving the product I was worried that setting it up would have been very difficult. However once I got it in my hands, I was blown away with how easy the set up was. Remember, I'm a beginner with no experience with steadicam/glidecams, so with how easy the set up was is a very big deal.

After properly balancing the S-60C, I went to town with making videos.

It most definitely was a learning process on how to properly maneuver the S-60C, but over time I got used it, and can't imagine what I'd be doing without it.

It's been a month or so since I've first got it, and so far I've shot several music videos and I've been getting great feedback, with people asking "How did you get the camera so steady?" Thank you IMORDEN!

The IMORDEN S-60C is most definitely the right product to learn how to use a steadicam/glidecam. It's great for beginners, and gets a lot of compliments from experienced users! I will be referring others to IMORDEN from here on out!

Here I will give you a brief distinguish introduction about IMORDEN four kinds of camera stabilizers.

1.The main feature of them is their bearing capacity. What kind of camera you use with the stabilizer leads to which stabilizer you choose. *S-40c & S-40a: about 0.2~1.5kg /0.5lbs~3lbs *S-60c & S-60a: about 1~3kg./2lbs~6lbs

2.Body weight: Because of different material of them, carbon fiber version stabilizer (S-40c and S-60c)is lighter than aluminum ones.More details in specification form attached below.

Some people like the Carbon Fiber Stabilizers because they are light in weight and easy to hold in a long time.While others like the Aluminum one for a little more stable in the high wind for outdoors events.
