Do You Know about Bearing (II) ?

We have learnt something about the bearing last time. Now,let’s talk about the bearing that used in camera slider.Generally, you will find these kinds of bearing on the sliding block as below.

As you looked, the bearings of sliding block are different styles. That means there has a little bit different feeling of lubrication when using the camera slider.However, how to choose a better one may become our concerned point, right? Ok, now, please look at the image. 

There are round steel tubes on the slide rail that make the camera slider smoother, finer and much more durable. The slide rail has adopted high hardness chrome steel shaft. It is high precision, exquisite feeling and no noise.

Using four bearings design makes the contact area larger between the bearing and the steel shaft on both sides, so that it works more stable and smooth.

Using high quality bearings that have double row ball bearing make slide rail more stable. While other single bead bearings have bad precision,which will affect the stability of the slide rail.

A bearing is a machine element that constrains relative motion to only the desired motion,and reduces friction between moving parts.When it produces relative movement each other with other parts on the shaft, bearing can be used to reduce the friction coefficient and maintain fixed axis center position. By the different frictional properties of motion element, bearing can be divided into rolling bearing and sliding bearing.

Bearing Type

While according to the difference of its function and design,there are many types of bearing. Generally include: Needle bearings, Self-aligning ball bearings, Deep-groove ball bearings, Spherical roller bearings, Thrust bearings, Plummer blocks, Knuckle bearings,Combination bearings, Rolling mill bearings and so on. Different bearings have different function, but they have played a vital role in various mechanical equipment.What’s more, different type of bearing and quality, there is a difference of a couple of dollars in prices (That will cause different cost price of camera slider).
